Part 1: Digital Literacy Assessment
I participated in several Northstar Digital Literacy Assessments for basic computer skills, word documents, Macs, and power point. I was very surprised at how poorly I did on most of them despite being an avid user! In retrospect I realize as I go through the motions I'm thinking "now it's time to hit the thingy that makes the letter bigger" rather than considering the actual name of the action.
It was interesting to take the tests and I recommend anyone experiment with the website, which can be found here:

Part 2: Social Media
The following is a collection of screenshots relating to different organizational posts that address parent readiness and experience, which has been found to be particularly useful in efforts to address risk factors and access barriers that contribute to infant and maternal mortality rates in our area. The majority of them come from Facebook and YouTube. These two platforms were described as "preferable" over X (formally Twitter) and Instagram because there are not any character limits, it is easy to include links to supporting websites, and they offer access to audiences based on content preferences, categories and tags.

I've included a screenshot for a community project I put on, a resource fair for expecting parents and infants. We counted nearly 200 participants, and of those who filled out surveys, the majority cited our Facebook posts and event page as their source of awareness for the event, over our flyers, calendar postings, and word of mouth. For this reason I do believe social media to be an effective tool for raising awareness.
