Welcome!
I am an MSW student located in Bloomington Indiana. Although my focus is private practice therapy, I believe I will always feel compelled to participate in community development and advocacy.
When compared to both the national and international average for infant and maternal mortality, the State of Indiana consistently ranks unusually high. I believe digital equity plays a significant role in this social issue, and what is discussed throughout my ePortfolio can be factored into both solutions and barriers to reducing these negative outcomes.

My goal is to help my local community better understand the resources available for all aspects of the birthing process, what I like to refer to as parent readiness, to overcome common risk factors associated with negative birth outcomes in our area.
Monroe County United Ministries (MCUM) is a local not for profit dedicated to the disruption of generational poverty through self-sufficiency, that has recently taken steps to address parenting readiness. You can learn more about what they do here: https://mcum.org/
